Black River Health Recognized with National Awards for Excellence in Wound Healing

BLACK RIVER FALLS – Black River Health is proud to announce that its Wound Care Center has been awarded three national awards for quality and patient satisfaction from Healogics, which has led the nation in advanced wound care for more than 30 years.

The three awards include:

  • President’s Circle Award, which is Healogics’ highest honor, recognizing Wound Care Centers® that demonstrate exceptional performance in clinical outcomes, patient satisfaction, and operational excellence.
  • Robert A. Warriner III, M.D., Clinical Excellence Award for scoring in the top 10 percent of eligible Healogics® Wound Care Centers® on the Clinical Excellence measure for healing rate.
  • Center of Distinction award for achieving outstanding clinical outcomes for twelve consecutive months, including a patient satisfaction rate higher than 92 percent.

“These awards are evidence of the wound care team's high-quality and compassionate work. Not only are they some of the best in the country at healing wounds, but they also receive incredibly high patient satisfaction scores,” said Dr. Michelle Clark-Forsting, chief physician executive for Black River Health.

The Black River Health Wound Care Center is a member of the Healogics network of nearly 600 Wound Care Centers and offers highly specialized wound care to patients suffering from diabetic foot ulcers, pressure ulcers, infections, and other chronic wounds.

Advanced wound care modalities provided by wound care experts at Black River Health include negative pressure wound therapy, total contact casting, bio-engineered tissues, biosynthetic dressings, and growth factor therapies.
